I have just upgraded from 1.23 to 1.24 hotfix 2 under Windows 10 LTSB. None of my encrypted container files will decrypt and I get the generic 'password incorrect' dialog. To be sure it isn't me losing the plot, I downgraded to 1.23 again and am then able to decrypt all the files without issue.
Have any significant settings been changed between the two versions? I looked at the changelog and can see nothing that looks like it would affect compatibility.

I experience the same problem and found out it is the option "TrueCrypt Mode" in the mounting dialog which is always activated for me even though I deactivate it in the "Default Mount Parameters". When I uncheck this option I can mount my containers again.
Maybe it works for you also.
Until this is fixed, I will downgrade to a prior version.

I found out why the option for "TrueCrypt Mode" was always activated for me: The file ending was still .tc from TrueCrypt even though it was a VeraCrypt file. When I change the name to be .hc, the option is not activated anymore.

The developer Mounir Idrassi would like all those experiencing the problem with the "Default Mount Parameters" setting for TrueCrypt being ignored when the file extension is set "tc" after migrating to VeraCrypt to download the 1.24-Update4 version that contains this fix in the Nightly Builds folder to confirm the issue is resolved would be very helpful.

Since you are using LTSB, what version of Windows 10 and build number? 64-bit or 32-bit?
Click on the lower right Windows icon and type winver then hit return key.
This is version 1607 (OS Build 14393.3384), x64.

DownLow
What version of window etc are you using?
Also what version of veracrypt did you have the problem with?
It may help the developers.
Windows 10, version 1903, build 18632.535
VeraCrypt 1.24-Update2 (64-Bit)

Thank you! :)
EDIT: Ops! My bad. I misread the release notes and thought this issue was being fixed in Release 4.
