as of 1.24Update2, as far as I know, Windows will do most upgrades fine, but with the major ones, sometimes Veracrypt will be missing from the efi bootloader, so the computer will boot into startup repair. It's always a really good thing to have the emergency Veracrypt boot disk. But when Windows goes into startup repair, you can select "choose a device", then efi veracrypt dcs bootloader, I think. but it can be a hassle, and right now Veracrypt doesn't allow you to update your version of windows without decrypting, as far as I know.

Concerning major Windows 10 upgrades, I do not understand the FAQ.
For major upgrades, such as to version 1909, do I need to decrypt or boot from an different media?
Asked in other words: Does Windows 10 perform major upgrades without my intervention like it would do without VeraCrypt?
