That's been suggested.  The problem is that the fb device will have to turn 
around and talk to X on the host, and fb -> X is a mapping that doesn't work 
very well.  I can't think of any good ways of doing it.

The alternative is to use Xnest as the display.  It's somewhat less secure, 
but it ought to work pretty well.

Sure.  I do things like ubd1=/dev/cdrom and ubd2=/dev/fd0 and that works fine.
