It's strange that "Enabling swap space" says ok, and it's not clear where it's failing. Finally, I'm attaching my SKAS0 stub fixes. Not everybody experience the bug they fix (it happens probably with GCC-3.2), so I don't know if they'll help you at all. However, try them.
