"kill -KILL 693" is probably the right thing to do. If you have any distro = but=20 RH, it should show you the offending pid also by ps auxw|grep linux; inside= =20 late RH distros that pid could have been hidden, but however kill -KILL <pi= d>=20 should keep working.
