Hi, I'm trying to setup UML on a Gentoo box. I followed through al the instal= l=20 instructions from http://www.gentoo.org/doc/uml.html and can get to the p= oint=20 where I'm ready to boot up the UML kernel. As it boots I get this error: #/usr/local/bin/linux ubd0=3D/root/root_fs ubd1=3D/root/swap_fs <cut> kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly. INIT: version 2.83 booting Gentoo Linux; http://www.gentoo.org Copyright 2001 Gentoo Technologies, Inc.; Distributed under the GPL * Mounting /proc... [ oops ] * The "mount" command failed with error: mount: command not found * Since this is a critical task, startup cannot continue. Give root password for maintenance (or type Control-D for normal startup): Yet if I mount the root_fs manually everthing in the filesystem looks fin= e.=20 Has anyone seen anything like this?=20 TIA Andy Shaw |
