Hi, I use Debian 2.2 on UML. It works otherwise fine but init hogs all CPU time (top shows some CPU time usage and ps aux|grep init says init is always running). Processes hogging CPU time on host machine are linux [(tracing thread)] and linux [init]. Init doesn't either care about signals it normally responds somehow to (e.g. telinit q does nothing). I tried to use strace on init (linux mem=32m ubd0=root.img init="/usr/bin/strace /sbin/init") but in that case init refused to behave normally. I also tried to remove some useless stuff from inittab but the problem persisted. If I pass -b option to init it works fine, so it still might be my inittab (http://retiisi.dyndns.org/~sailus/inittab) or what init does without -b option... UML version is 2.4.17-14um. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks, -- Sakari Ailus sak...@lu... |
