I installed the stamps under the current users account and they are there under ~/Library/Application Support/TuxPaint/stamps/ But they don't show up when selecting the stamp tool. Only see the default stamps with tux on them. Thanks for any help. ____________________________________________________________________________________ No need to miss a message. Hi Richard, sorry for your trouble. I'm Cc'ing this to the 'tuxpaint-devel' list to see if anyone there may know what's up. I've not come across this issue before, unfortunately. Thanks and good luck! PS - sorry for the late reply from me -- newborn in the house! :^) -- -bill! bi...@ne... http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/ |

See: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=30593748&forum_id=44504 That was on Windows however, so I don't know if it's the same problem. One solution was to move the stamps to the data\stamps folder under the TuxPaint program folder. The other solution was to move them to the save folder (in a data\stamps folder I think). I have not ran into it until today. I installed tuxpaint and the stamps on friend's granddaughter's emachine running vista home. The only stamps that are showing up in the program are the animals but none of the others even though they are present in the folders. I even tried adding some stamps to a Mystamps folder as I have done before but they are not showing up either. I was beginning to think I was the only one running into this. I don't recall when this was posted, or if it was addressed. Richard, are you out there, and did it end up working for you? > Hello Richard, > I found and joined this forum after searching about the same problem. I have > not ran into it until today. 'tjustleft', the latest version of Tux Paint has been changed such that stamps are now broken into their categories. If you look at the bottom of the collection of stamps (the buttons on the right of the drawing canvas), just below the purple scroll-down-arrow, you should see a pair of buttons that look like left and right arrows (kind of like "<=" and "=>"). Those allow you to cycle through the stamps. This makes it easier to find the stamp you want, without having to scroll down through literally hundreds of stamps at a time. If you've already seen those buttons and tried them, and they don't work, then we DO have a problem! (Though it'll be the first time it's reported in the ~3.5 months that this version of Tux Paint has been out. ;) ) Good luck! -- -bill! bi...@ne... http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/ |

I must have overlooked the arrows. This was a newer version than I have been using as I downloaded it for them last night. I will have to let them know. Again thank you, Thomas. Oh by the way. I have been making stamps in my spare time. I am using public domain images from http://images.fws.gov/default.cfm?fuseaction=records.browseKeywords http://images.fws.gov/default.cfm?fuseaction=records.browseKeywords and some other .gov sites. When I compile enough I will send them on disk if that is ok so they may used. I would upload them to a photobucket account but I have a very slow dial up. ----- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/no-stamps-after-installing-stamps-tf3340300.html#a13194165 Sent from the tuxpaint-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
