Hello,
I am working on a collection rubber stamps together with my friends of =
Japan, China, Sweden, Canada, Slovenia, Austria and Israel.
How can I make a text together with our stamps?
It was no problem to put the png-files into tux paint.

Hi!
I'm currently working on the Italian version of TuxPaint, right now I'm 
updating the Stamps translation.

While updating Tux Paint, I installed the latest available version of 
the stamps, and in my opinion it's a little messy, many "kids favourite" 
stamps of the previous versions look missing (the rubber duck, the 
toilet...), and there are too many tombstones!!!
Is it possible to "merge" the new version of the stamps with the older one?
Or uninstall the current version of the stamps and use the older one 
with v. 0.9.19 of TuxPaint?

Hi Lieven!  The easiest way is to create a text file (in UTF-8 format for
non-Latin characters, such as Chinese, Hebrew and Japanese).

The text file should simply have the same name as the PNG stamp image file,
except with ".txt" as the file extension, instead of ".png". :^)

The first line should be the English description.
For translations of the description, add additional lines to the file
that begin with "xx.utf8=", where "xx" is the locale code for the language
(e.g., "jp" for Japanese, "zh" for Chinese, "de" for German).

For example:

  A sumatran tiger.
  fr.utf8=Un tigre de Sumatra.

You can see some example files in Tux Paint's current set of stamps.
You can access them via the web interface to the CVS repository, for example:

  http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/tuxpaint/tuxpaint-stamps/

Thanks for your e-mail. (You remember me? I sent some action photo's for=20
your article in 'Redhat')
I already tried  to make a txt file in utf-8 format. It went wrong. When =
I=20
used one from Tuxpaint and changed the content (not the last unvisible=20
byte)and name, there was now problem. I think it had something to do with=
=20
the last byte of the file??
I hope to make  an interesting collection of stamps because children of 5=
-9=20
years old from all over the world will make them. I will send to  my frie=
nds=20
all over the world materials to make them (in reality) and then they send=
=20
some back to me . I will take the pictures and convert them into stamps...
