vc6.0 is horribly old and broken
AFAIK, gcc is used for all ports now. We might as well
admit this, allowing the use of C99 code.

Tux Paint doesn't compile with VC6 or any of the Microsoft compilers (as
far as I know).
We cross-compile it using the MinGW/MSYS tools. Here's a page detailing
the (arduous) procedure:

You've reminded me that I need to put together a set of binaries so that
Tux Paint can be built without having to build all the libs first,
