The X server is 16 bit/pixel, 5:6:5. This is x86.
Scaling down always works fine.
When VIDEO_BPP is 32, scaling up works. 15, 16, and 24
all fail. NO_BILINEAR makes no difference.
I get a rectangle of thin lines or some similar bland pattern,
with no hint of the stamp I was using. Both the stiple outline
and the final result have this problem.
I'd use 32, but then the OOM killer gets me. Got any other
ideas for saving memory? I can't much exceed 50 MB.
