By the way, can You recommend me some actual project on [unicode] fonts (Serif, SSerif, Mono) with the same (GPL) license [to try] to include my Georgian fonts? Looking at the current recent changes in CVS (since 0.9.19), I see locale-related stuff, and then the following: * RPM spec updates * tuxpaint.desktop changes * Makefile improvements * Bug fixes * Documentation updates So perhaps I should just start asking everyone to see whether things work ok for them, and then we can get 0.9.20 out the door soon. Perhaps end of this week? -- -bill! "Tux Paint" - free children's drawing software for Windows / Mac OS X / Linux! Download it today! http://www.tuxpaint.org/ |

It'd be great to get a new version into Debian (and Ubuntu), we still have 0.9.17! Caroline |

Perhaps end > of this week? That would be superb. I'm going to continue packaging with what I have checked out from CVS. Yes, while there are ways around a new release, they are ugly. At the very least, it would mean that our .orig.tar.gz would not match upstream's, which means the users won't really know what it is we're distributing without tearing it apart and checking for themselvves. So if we could work towards a maintenance release later this week, I'll put the revised copyright file aggregating all the font copyrights by the ftpmasters to ensure we won't end up with another rejection. Things don't _break_ for translators. They just get out of date. I pretty much _will not_ make a source release if, say, John cannot compile a Win32 build based upon it. :) > We were planning a stamps release too, weren't we? Regardless of a new TP, yes, I was hoping to get a new TPS out the door. Of course, I may as well just do both together, as usual. I'm a pushover, huh? :) -- -bill! I think they asked for that on the mailing list at some point. > >> We were planning a stamps release too, weren't we? > > Regardless of a new TP, yes, I was hoping to get a new TPS out the door. > Of course, I may as well just do both together, as usual. > > I'm a pushover, huh? :) Giving the translators a nudge before we release would be a good idea for this too.
