[Tuxpaint-users] creating png file for starter

Hi,

My daughter lovers to work with tuxpaint (latest version 0.9.17) on  
our Mac (OXS 10.4.10)
She wants to draw on a photo of herself and I put her photo in de  
starters map. I converted a JPG-file into PNG, but it is impossible  
to draw on it. What should I do to make this work? Any special  
requirements for the PNG? I used Photoshop Elements 2.0 to convert  
from JPG to PNG.
