Hi Jean-Paul!  Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with Mac OS X.
What are ".dnp" files?

Where are you opening them?  (when you say you "can still see them" and
"click open a totally black image is loaded"?)  In Tux Paint, or in the
Mac's Finder?
