I've been hearing of some graphics-related problems under Windows XP, so _perhaps_ it's related. However, in the meantime, could you do me a favor and check in your C:\Program Files\TuxPaint (or whever "TuxPaint.exe" is installed) and see if there are "stderr.txt" and/or "stdout.txt" files laying around? Those might contain useful error messages that we can use for figuring out what's causing the crash. Sorry for the trouble! In the meantime, I guess a downgrade will fix it, and/or simply disabling the Stamps tool altogether. (There's an option for it under "Simplification" in Tux Paint Config.)
