If all you have on Linux is a handful of cartoon Tux penguins, then you simply need to install the "tuxpaint-stamps" package. If you installed Tux Paint from source, you'll just want to grab "tuxpaint-stamps-####.tar.gz" from the 'Source' download page: http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/tuxpaint/download/source/ Then open the .tar.gz archive ("tar -xzf tuxpaint-stamps-####.tar.gz" on the command-line, for example), then go inside the directory/folder it created ("tuxpaint-stamps-####/"), and then, as 'root' superuser, run: "make install". Restart Tux Paint, and voila! If you installed from a package (on Debian via 'apt', on RedHat via 'yum' or an RPM package, etc.), just install the corresponding "tuxpaint-stamps" package. FYI, I've separated the stamps from the core package because some people want to give Tux Paint a test-drive but might NOT want to download 6-10MB. (The main program is only 2-3MB.) Also, eventually, the Stamps collection will be split up into smaller sub-packages, with various themes. Let us know if you need more assistance! -- -bill! bi...@ne... http://newbreedsoftware.com/ |
