It was an issue back then, too, but the solution was to just build it on my
old mac.
... which was the same solution this time, except I forgot what I did last
time so I just documented the solution.
... plus added some code to build it on newer macs (at the cost of
sacrificing support for older macOS versions) for when my old mac
eventually dies.

Tux Paint and Tux Paint Config support macOS 10.8 Mountain Lion and above.
The Stamps Installer supports macOS 10.9 Mavericks and above.
All support both Apple Silicon and Intel CPUs.  You can drop the
"M<number>" moniker.
