A beta release of Tux Paint 0.9.32 and friends (Tux Paint Config. and Tux Paint Stamps) is now available for Windows, macOS, RHEL Linux, and as source-code. https://tuxpaint.org/beta/ It introduces a number of new Magic tools for drawing 3D-style sketches (1-, 2-, and 3-Point Perspective, Isometric, Di- & Trimetric, and Oblique), and tools for creating Centered Trochoid roulette curves ("Spirograph"-style artwork). It also adds a "complexity" setting, allowing you to specify the expertise level of the user, which causes some of these new Magic tools to provide more simplified interfaces, or to be deactivated altogether. The Stamps collection's size has been greatly reduced (smaller download, and less disk space used when installed), by reducing the quality levels of many of the descriptive audio samples. (They did not need to be in stereo, especially if the sound was only on one channel, and they did not need extremely high sampling bitrates.) Font face & size details are shown in the information are at the bottom when using the Text and Label tools. And finally, a few translations were updated, and a number of bugs were fixed. We always appreciate beta testers, so please try it out and let us know if you come across any crash or freeze bugs, or other major problems. Thanks in advance! -- -bill! Sent from my computer |
