Yes, it's very nice on my laptop in 800x600 mode, making very
large stams (e.g., of the frog, a bird, etc.)  It seems to follow
along for a few frames, and then 'snap' to catch up, once I stop
wiggling the mouse.

Specs: Lenovo Thinkpad T480s, Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS.
KDE's System Info shows:

  ...
  Kernel Version: 5.4.0-124-generic
  OS Type: 64-bit
  Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz
  Memory: 23.3 GiB of RAM
