Fonts are supposed to have Unicode tables. The OS is supposed to let you type in Unicode. One should be able to mix Tamil with ASCII. If that font is used on a modern system, do you just get rectangular boxes when you type Tamil? Typing ASCII to get Tamil is wrong. You should type Tamil if you want Tamil. Fontforge can be used to recode the font. |
