Well, it crashes tuxpaint because it installs 39 ttf fonts at a time.

Installing some other font packages that has less number of fonts doesnt
crash tuxpaint until they reach a limit.

I can reproduce crashing without ttf-arabeyes, just by putting an
apropiate number of fonts in the .tuxpaint/fonts directory 

The maximum number of fonts that tuxpaint allows on my box without
crashing is 127 in case if it helps. (BTW xfontsel shows about 32000
installed fonts , but tuxpaint just show up to 127 fonts)
