I get a segfault with the text tool.
Can someone else reproduce?
I have _lots_ of fonts currently installed,(more than 30000) I will try
deinstalling some of them and retry. 


About the magic "Shift"
If the image is asociated to a starter, when displacing the image, 
the starter gets copied into the image but not displaced with it, 
so you have two or more starters.
