Thanks!  I'll file a bug against the Debian tuxpaint-data package to
track this issue and resolve it by the eventual replacement of ja.ttf in
tuxpaint-data with a symlink and dependency on ttf-sazanami-gothic once
this SDL_ttf bug is resolved.
