Looks promising.  Do we have someone who knows the language to verify it

There is a ttf-devanagari-fonts package in Debian, but there is no font
named Raghu or Raghindi in it.  There are just these:

This still should go into a separate font package so that others can use
it, and my preference would be that it goes into the existing package in
Debian.

I guess this is an indication that Gia's font is already in ttf-freefont:

And currently in sid there is version 20060501cvs-8.  So all we have to
do is try it.
