I have Win2K with SP4 and norwegian language. I had Tux Paint 0.9.15-2 installed by the administrator user for all users. I then installed 0.9.16-rc1 as a limited user. After installation the config-program worked, but when I tried to start Tux Paint it just came up with the loading screen and then quit without a message. I assume it was some kind of problem with the program installed in two locations (c:\programfiler\TuxPaint for all users, and c:\documents and settings\username\Programs\TuxPaint for the rc1 installed by limited user). I then uninstalled rc1, logged in and uninstalled 0.9.15-2, and then installed rc1 as limited user again. Then it worked without a hitch. The directional brush lines-angled.png was a bit suprising because of the crossed lines in the middel of the png-file. I first thought it was a bug (that it was drawing all directions when i pushed the mouse button), and when i edited the png and removed the middle image it worked more like I expected except that it didn't paint anything before I moved the mouse a bit. Not a bug, but I thought it was worth mentioning :-) When I use the line tool with a directional or animated brush, it first draw one image where I push the mouse button, and then draws another image on top of the first when I release the mouse (in addition to all the images that make up a nice line). If I draw a line with the modified lines-angled.png (without the center image) it looks much nicer, but doesn't draw anything but the rubber band before I release the button (which I don't think is a problem since the rubber band is enough visible feedback). Maybe the first image when drawing a line could be dropped or made part of the rubber band temporary drawing so it wouldn't make a mess of the beginning of the line? (I haven't looked at the code, so I don't know if that would be a problem). That's all I've found so far :-) Kind regards, Tore ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program. |
