Hi Gabriel,

I've had a look at this and it seems to be an SDL (on Windows) problem.
Even if it can't be solved for the general case, it's pretty poor that
it doesn't handle Spanish! 

We're in the fortunate postion of being able to ship a custom version of
SDL, if neccessary, so it can probably be fixed - I'll look into it ....
