A beta release of the upcoming version of Tux Paint, 0.9.21, is now available as RPM packages for RedHat, Fedora CORE and Fedora Linux.[*] If you're using RedHat 6.2, 7.3, 8.0 or 9.0, or Fedora CORE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, or Fedora 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10, and want to help us test things out, but can't or don't want to download code from CVS and compile Tux Paint yourself, these are for you! ftp://ftp.tuxpaint.org/unix/x/tuxpaint/testbuilds/rpm/0.9.21/ This includes an updated version of Tux Paint Config., as well. It also includes a package for Fribidi, a bi-directional text system that Tux Paint now (optionally) depends upon, for RedHat 6.2 through 9. Other dependencies (e.g., FLTK for Tux Paint Config., SDL_Pango, etc.) appear to not have changed, so get those from the website of you need them: http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/linux-rpm/ Thanks, and enjoy! Let us know if you notice any problems! [*] i386-compatible CPUs. -- -bill! Sent from my computer |
