[Tuxpaint-users] Configuration file

I've read the Options Documentation, but I must be doing something wrong.

I plan to install TuxPaint on our cart laptops (MacBooks with OS 10.4).  But
I would like to change the savedir to a folder that resides on the desktop.
Each class has its own account on each of the laptops (i.e., 6 classes use
one cart, each laptop has 6 accounts).

Is there an easy way to do this?

I created the .tuxpaintrc file, and saved it to one user account's home
directory (just to test).  But TuxPaint still saves it to the default
location.  I tried to just using the fullscreen=yes command (figured that
was an easy change to see), but that didn't even work.  What am I missing?
