Hey everybody, My names Andrew Corcoran and I'm a recently graduated Computer Engineer currently based in Ireland. For the GSOC I'm working with Caroline Ford (secretlondon) on creating new magic tools for tuxpaint. So far I've created Convert to greyscale Convert to binary (only two colours, pure black and pure white) Silhouette tool - A sobel edge map Trace Contour - Similar to the same name plugin in photoshop, trace the edges of the image in colour Blur All - A full image gaussian blur Snowball - Adds snowballs to the image Snowflake - Adds snowflakes to the image Sharpen - enhance the edges of the image to make it "pop" more I'm also in the process of working on several ideas, namely a tool to add random noise to the image, a mosaic tool, a jigsaw tool and a clustering tool that will segment the image into only a small number of colours. If anyone has any comments, or suggestions for new tools that they would like to see implemented Id love to hear them. Regards, Andrew |
