I recently discovered the "Free Knowledge, Free Technology" (FKFT) conference, a new, international conference whose tagline is: "Education for a free information society". It takes place between July 15th and 17th, 2008, in Barecelona, Spain. Here's their announcement: http://fkft.eu/en/announcement I contacted them to ask whether it was too late to have Tux Paint, or Tux4Kids in general, participate, and they said no, and encouraged us to do so. They recently extended the deadline for their Call for Papers, but even so, the deadline is in TWO DAYS: April 30th.
