For those of you who aren't subscribed to the 'tuxpaint-news' announcement list, and didn't look at the website yet today. ;^) ----- Forwarded message from Bill Kendrick <nb...@so...> ----- Hello Tux Paint fans. This is a brief note to let you know that Tux Paint 0.9.19 is now available! An official press-release about it is here: http://tuxpaint.org/latest/tuxpaint-0.9.19-press-release-en.php3 In short, this fixes a number of issues that cropped up in 0.9.18, which was released in November. It also adds a few minor updates, and some new language support (Azerbaijani, Khmer, Macedonian, Occitan and Zapoteco, as well as Canadian and Australian English). There are also a few new stamps, and the entire stamp collection has been compressed to save a little more space on your hard disk! The new version already available for most of the major platforms we support: Windows (XP, 2000, Vista) http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/windows/ ('Installer' version) http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/windows-zip/ (Stand-alone ZIP file version) Mac OS X (10.3 and up; Intel or PowerPC) http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/macosx/ Fedora Linux (FC2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Fedora 7 and 8; Intel x86) http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/linux-rpm/ BeOS (Intel x86) http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/beos/ ...and of course, the Source Code is available, if you'd like to build it yourself for your favorite system: http://www.tuxpaint.org/download/source/ As usual, if anyone discovers issues with this version, we will post them (and any known work-arounds) on the "Known Issues" page of the website: http://www.tuxpaint.org/docs/known_issues/ Tux Paint is completely free software, release under an Open Source license. This means you may install it on as many systems as you wish, make copies for friends, give it away, or even sell your own discs! YOU CAN HELP! If you're interested in contributing to Tux Paint, check out the various ways you can help us: http://www.tuxpaint.org/help/ Thanks and enjoy, Bill Kendrick and the Tux Paint Team (John, Martin, Luc, Shin-ichi, Ben, Caroline, and countless others!) ----- End forwarded message ----- -- -bill! bi...@ne... http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/ |
