Hi!

  I'm Steve Baker from 1925 W.Beltline.

  I just noticed your subscription to the protest newsgroup - you are the
first, so there isn't a whole lot of discussion here yet!

  I don't know about you - but so far, the only activity I've seen in the
neighbourhood has been a petition that's going round.  I think that's a good
thing - but I doubt that it'll be enough.

  Time is running awfully short before the first hearing and I think it's
going to need us to figure out who will speak for us all and what are the
arguments that can win this kind of debate.  I would expect that there are
enough professionals living around here that we'd have some lawyers and
political types who are GOOD at this kind of thing - I know I'm not.
