I recently got myself a TI-82 Stats Calculator and a Silverlink Connect Ca= ble. Because I wanted to try out some stuff on=20 my Calc (mainly games and such things) I searched for a way to send those = programs to my TI-82 Stats Calculator. I found out that the only way capable of doing this would be your program.= Unfortunately things did not work like intended. I will now give you a qu= ick rundown of things that don't work/work only half way. - I can install your Tilp Program, although it asks me to install some kin= d of GTK Enviroment (or something along these=20 lines). After I click yes to anything it installs and after that offers me= the Options: * View Readme.txt * Launch Tilp *Install GTK Enviroment 2.6.10-rc1 After I chose all of them it gives me an Error Message about a missing dll= file (libglib-2.0-0.dll to be exact) and says it couldn't open Tilp. Then, after the GTK Enviroment has finished installing I can finally open = Tilp successfully. However, if I try to connect to my TI-82 (which I put to Receiv mode of co= urse) it says: "Msg: Unable to open COM port. Cause: Check that the device is not used/locked by another application (mo= dem=3F). System: GetLast Error =3D 6 -> the Handle is invaild." After clicking close it gives me: "Msg: Error while flushing the buffer(s). Cause: Internal Win32 error" I guess that I need those Silverlink USB Drivers to get my Calculator conn= ected properly, right =3F Unfortunately those=20 drivers are somehow not recocnized if I try to force install them as Silve= rlink Connection Drivers (via Softwareupgrade=20 using Windows Systemcontrol). I hope that you could help me getting this to work cause it really drives = me to despair that this does not work. Best Regards: Pascal PS: I found out, that if I open the tilp.exe after restarting the system i= t outputs:=20 --------------------------------------------------------------------------= ----------------------- tilp.exe Compenent not found = [ ] --------------------------------------------------------------------------= ----------------------- \/ The Application couldn't be startet, cause libglib-2.0-0.dll was n= ot found. /\ A new installation of the Application could solve the Problem = =20 [ OK ] =20 --------------------------------------------------------------------------= ------------------------ which forces me to install the tilp programm + GTK Enviroment again so I c= an run tilp.exe again. I guess this is a fault of the GTK Enviroment or something... =5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F=5F Jetzt neu! This includes gtk_widget_ref/unref(), gtk_rc_style_ref/unref() and the old file selector.>> Thus, I have to fix it. In the meanwhile, you can try and edit filesel.c and add this line "#undef GTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED" just after line 43. I am running TILP2 V1.07 under Linux (Fedora Core 7). From info screen: Framework version (cables=1.0.9, files=1.0.7, calcs=1.0.7, conv=1.0.4) When using the backup function it gets to a large flash application, and when the transfer of this file appears to be complete, sometimes I get a popup window saying the connection is being reset, then (regardless of whether I get the "reset" message) I get a popup window with the following message: Msg: timeout occured while reading to the device. Cause: check that link cable is plugged and/or the calculator is ready. System: Resource temporarily unavailable (errno = 11) At that point, the backup is failed. Where this problem occurs does not appear to have any consistency. It *usually* occurs on the first larger file transfer, but sometimes I actually get to the second larger flash app before getting these results. I have also had it occur on a rom dump. I have checked the log messages and don't find anything unusual there when this occurs. I have attached a gzipped file with the tilp output in it. If I can provide anything else, let me know. I really like this program and would like to get it working reliably for my setup. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: rpdrum (rpdrum) Date: 2007-10-16 06:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1907033 Originator: YES Voyage 200 PLT OS Version 3.10, 07/18/2005 Hardware Version 2.00 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2007-10-16 00:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Originator: NO What OS (Advanced Mathematics Software) version are you running on the V200? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: rpdrum (rpdrum) Date: 2007-10-15 12:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1907033 Originator: YES Hmmmm... I saw that someone else had this problem as well. Have you come up with a solution for this particular bug? I tried to reinstall the 89 driver and at one point in the install it asks for the file libusb0.sys. I connect it to one of the drivers located on my computer and inevitably it doesn't work. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2007-10-15 15:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 Originator: NO I transmitted your file to my hand-held without any error. The 'restore' function works fine. The same apply with the 'backup' function. I didn't encounter any transmission error with my V200 thru a SilverLink cable on both Windows XP 32-bits Home and Linux Debian 64-bits. I'm afraid the bug will be difficult to fix... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2007-10-15 13:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 Originator: NO I received it! Tried to backup, sorry, I still get the timeout on backup:( Would sending a copy of the ti group backup using ti-connect help? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2007-10-14 09:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Originator: NO libticalcs2-1.0.8-2 is now up at http://repo.calcforge.org/fedora/ . Please try the update and report whether it fixes your issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2007-10-14 05:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Originator: NO Oh, and it's called Fedora 7, not Fedora Core 7. ;-) The last "Core" was FC6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Kofler (kevinkofler) Date: 2007-10-14 05:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=573515 Originator: NO An updated RPM which should fix this (libticalcs2-1.0.8-2, which has Romain's fix backported) is going to hit the CalcForge RPM repository in a few hours. I'll tell you when it's up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2007-10-14 04:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 Originator: NO Another way to help me: backup your hand-held with Ti-Connect and send the TiGroup file backup to <roms AT tilp DOT info>. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Romain Liévin (roms) Date: 2007-10-13 22:21 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=136160 Originator: NO Did you install TiLP from source or package? Would you be able to run a test for me? If yes, open ticalcs2/src/backup.c, look for ticalcs_calc_recv_tigroup and next, look for TRYF(handle->calc->is_ready(handle)). Simply add 'PAUSE(250);' just before and just after this line. Install the library again, re-run TiLP and take me up to date... Thanks, Romain. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=118378&aid=1808645&group_id=18378 |
