Err... Maybe it should be probed by detect.c or in the link_xxx.c file.

If SilverLink cable is working under BSD then DirectLink should, too.
Clearly, you can easily assume that 84+/89t is working if SilverLink is
working (but I have a counter-example with Titanium/USB under Linux :-(
