Then what about making --enable-exit-homedir the default? (While you're on both anyway, I'm also CCing tilp-devel 
because it doesn't really have anything to do with TiEmu. ;-) )

I think it is pretty easy to get rid of that restriction with a binary patch (so you don't even need to recompile GTK to get rid 
of it).
