Hi all, For those who don't know me, I worked with roms to get the TiLP makefiles in shape to create ebuilds for the Gentoo Linux distro. I'm currently listed as the maintainer of the Gentoo Linux packages on the TiLP SourceForge site. Anyway, I was just contacted by somebody who saw my contact info on the site about a problem with the Gentoo ebuilds linked to on http://tilp.sourceforge.net/tilp-linux.php. After checking out the problem, I also realized the info on the TiLP site is quite outdated - which is probably my fault for not keeping the web site maintainer informed of changes. Anyway, the ebuilds for TiLP (and the library dependencies) are now in Gentoo Linux Portage. The ebuilds there are newer than the ones I have publically available, so the web site should probably be updated to tell people to look in the Gentoo Linux 'app-sci' category for the necessary ebuilds. The status of the latest ebuilds can be seen at http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=app-sci;name=tilp http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=dev-libs;name=libticables http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=dev-libs;name=libticalcs http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=dev-libs;name=libtifiles Also, I haven't had a hand in the latest TiLP updates in Gentoo, so problems with or enhancements to the ebuilds are probably best addressed by using Gentoo's Bugzilla (http://bugs.gentoo.org/). Of course, my email address is the same if anybody has a question they really want to ask me directly. I'm not sure who maintains the TiLP SourceForge site anymore, so I'm sending this to the development list. Please contact me with any questions, or if further information is desired. Thanks in advance to whoever can update the site! Brent Redeker |
