#228 tilp 2 won't install? Used windows 10 and wins 8.1 connected to TI 84
Can any one please advise me about how to install tilip2.
I've tried using a Windows 10, 64 bit laptop and also a Windows 8.1 laptop 32 bit.
I'm using the black USB lead that came with the TI -84 Plus CE, one end connected into the laptop and the other connected to the TI 84 Plus CE. First I get a message that GTK + 2.24.8 Runtime Environment is not installed. But not to worry and just to click the GTK box when installing.
The tilp2 starts to install and then I get a message saying
Sorry, the files could not be download. Click Retry to try again or terminate the setup.
When I try gain nothing happens so I can't download or upload anything?
Help or any suggestions? I also downloaded GTK+ 2.24.8 but this makes no difference and it still doesn;t work.

The TILP installer is supposed to download something like https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/gtk-win/GTK%2B%20Runtime%20Environment/GTK%2B%202.24/gtk2-runtime-2.24.10-2012-10-10-ash.exe?use_mirror=autoselect , but it doesn't work.
After downloading this installer, you need to execute it, before TILP II can work :)
On Windows 8 and later, you'll need to perform another manual step for TILP to be able to communicate with calculators. The procedure and the reasons for this state of fact (to sum up, Windows driver shenanigans - the other OS don't have such limitations) are described in the README, which can be displayed on request by the TILP installer before it finishes.
