Hej, I've installed several times the lite version and i have updated the DevIL DLLs as well and i cannot get TGA files to thumbnail in WinExplorer (WinXP x86 SP3), i do however see DDS and PCX thumbnails. Any ideas what's not working, i downloaded your great ThumbView for the TGA support mainly. Note: I do have CS4 installed (and other programs), i've set PS to ignore the TGA files, but i don't think it is doing anything as it was also "owning" PCX files too and they thumbnail fine atm. BTW, DevIL is up to v178 verses v167 which ThumbView is still installing... any support is welcome, tia!
Solved! I had to cleanup the registry,see attached file if someone needs some guidance on this for their own, i just exported a working thumbnail extension to TGA.
On a 2nd note, to use the latest DevIL DLLs just install ThumbView Lite, but before exiting the install replace the 3 old DLLs in the install directory with the new DLLs, then exit install, because after it is done installing or a reboot you will not be allowed to by OS as the "installed" DLLs are in use. Make sure you do not test it in Win Explorer before replacing DLLs too.
