What is a "file timeline" and a "numeric timeline"? What are the differences? It will be even more confusing in 1.8 when we introduce bosparanian time.

Suggested solution: Have one menu item "file / new" that opens a dialog where you have to choose your time type. In that dialog we can have explanations to make it more clear what the different time types mean.
