Hi,
I am using Linux Mint 18 xfce edition. I installed Texstudio from official reposity. Then i want to open a tex file it couldn't run. I try this manually from File>Open then it cant recognize my tex files path home/username/masaüstü. My systems default language is Turkish. Path desktop seems in Turkish as 'masaüstü'. So texstudion cant open my tex file. When i move my tex file another path without Turkish character (like /home/myfile.tex) it worked. So, to owercome this issue i tried this way: https://sourceforge.net/p/texstudio/bugs/37/ but i didnt work. I tried to change encoding but it also didnt.

Here is a screenshot of opening a file: http://i68.tinypic.com/qwy4nc.png

Sorry for my weak English.

What can i do?
Thanks...

looks like a font encoding poblem.
The file dialog is directly qt, so we can't do anything about it.
I guess that your file system/font encoding is not utf8 ...
