Hangs when saving file inside dropbox folder
A feature-rich environment for writing LaTeX documents on Windows

In windows 7 32bit and 64bit.
I have tested making small changes to the HelloWorld.tex and clicking to save the file, in TexnicCenter.
If we're outside dropbox, it works fine
If we're inside a dropbox folder, it hangs for a few seconds, up to 7 seconds in my lousy laptop with lousy connection.

I have similar issues. Nearly every time I save or compile a TEX project inside Dropbox, TeXnicCenter hangs for a few seconds (that seem an eternity to me).
Not sure if it is a Dropbox problem, but anyway something has to be done! (BTTF)

Yeah same problem here, it seems like it hangs just as long as Dropbox needs to upload the file.
My only solution is to quit Dropbox while working with TeXnicCenter :(

On the Dropbox taskbar, hit "pause syncing" before opening TeXnicCenter.

Same issue here. Don't think it's a problem with dropbox itself because other programs have no trouble reading/writing files that dropbox is trying to sync. Just tested with a python script that constantly reads/writes a file in my dropbox - no hanging or delays at all while dropbox is syncing the changing file.
Please fix this issue, it makes working in TexnicCenter a headache!

I don't have any problems with my thesis saved into dropbox. I use three computers (that's why I use dropbox). Resulting pdf-file is 200 pages long.

Same problem here, Texnicenter hangs in the middle of the latex run if dropbox is not halted. The degree of "hang" varies from day to day, i'd say one to ten seconds.
Running latex on the command line ("pdflatex projectname") goes through smoothly and quickly, but ALSO hangs TXC if the same project is open. It seems that TXC constantly monitors some files for changes, which collides with dropbox doing the same.
Dropbox is definitely doing something stupid here, but this also a bug in TXC.
