Hello there,
thanks for doing TC.
One question or request about printing.
I need more option for formating.
'>Datei >Seitenlayout >Benutzer definierte Größe1 >Papierränder z.B. links 30mm / schließen >Anwenden has no effect in TC 1.4.3 // ( no columne, no free paper border on the left side at all. It prints direct to paper edge, with no free space.)
(Just now I go this way >export >CSV / open this in LibreO. there then I'm able to format more. But it is laborious always run in a circle. )
*
If you say use 1.4.4...: On Linux Mint 18.3 Sarah I have trieyed these days before, but quick I did go back and use the former 1.4.3 from the regular PPA.
I'm sad to say that there were for me too many difficulties in 1.4.4, like program responds internally to inputs, but does not display this correctly, or you have wait to long to see the results on sreen. Many times I received the message look into the error report, what I did not. My Python is extremly small, so I can not help myself in this.
Are in 1.4.4 more options for printing possibilities?
For now - have exellent time

Hello Aaron Wolf and readers,
today by now (Dez 11. 2018 at 23.20 MEZ / CET I use TC 1.4.4-1 and it work like it should.
Even if I close it, no error at all, and no new entry in the taskcoach log.txt.
I do not understand it. Things happen.
Thanks for your watching.
What remains is that as an old load from the previous installation with each restart a calendar view opens, which can not be closed. This happend with v1.4.3 and also with v1.4.4-1.
Is there a way to stop this, maybe in the settings?
have good times

I'm surprised about the view not being closable, maybe there's some
confusion about how to do it. But to reset things, rename or delete the
.ini file https://answers.launchpad.net/taskcoach/+faq/1061
That will reset your views and preferences, but you won't lose any tasks.

Aaron Wolf,
thanks , I will try to reset.
Uunfortunately it is a roller coaster for me with v1.4.4-1 / see todays logfile.
Can the use of Python 2.7 be the cause?
sorry, but yesterday I stop trying with 1.4.4-1, ( use 1.4.3-1 and will wait for 1.4.4-2),
see added logfile.
My main question concerning more printing functions is not answered now, please.
A wider border when printing out directly from TC would be very useful!!
The possibility to set the margin width by direct printing out of TC is even better.

Aaron is right, however you'd better make regular backups; plenty of things can pass incorrect with this selection with reviews; it is complicated and syncing equipment like Dropbox/Nextcloud/and so forth have been no longer designed for this :)

Things are finally on-track with Python3 and more things getting fixed! Please get the updates from https://github.com/taskcoach/taskcoach and post any issues/requests there. Cheers!

1.4.4 was noticeably slower and more problematic for you than 1.4.3?
