How comfortable is it to live in a house made from steel construction?

I've heard a lot about barndominiums. The main advantage is always speed of construction. I don't know, maybe I'm just old school, but for some reason it feels like you can't build a good house fast, and also that living in a steel structure just isn't comfortable.

It's trendy right now. And it's profitable for manufacturers. In a year you could build one solid brick house with a proper foundation, or crank out a bunch of these modern houses and make way more money.

I won't argue that speed is one of the big pluses of barndominiums, that's true. Everything else really comes down to whoever's doing the design, the build, all that. A lot of people worry about the metal roof and the noise it makes, so check out this article, it's about how long these roofs actually last and how they hold up in different weather. Heat or cold gets handled through insulation and ventilation. So comfort really comes down to the engineering details, not the wall material itself.
