I've heard a lot about barndominiums. The main advantage is always speed of construction. I don't know, maybe I'm just old school, but for some reason it feels like you can't build a good house fast, and also that living in a steel structure just isn't comfortable.

I won't argue that speed is one of the big pluses of barndominiums, that's true. Everything else really comes down to whoever's doing the design, the build, all that.
