Hello The Funambol discussions have moved to the new Funambol Forge (https://www.forge.funambol.org ). These are the new addresses for the Funambol lists: * Users: https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/viewForumSummary.do?dsForumId=405 * Developers: https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/viewForumSummary.do?dsForumId=402 You can follow the discussions without the need to log in as you would with any web forum. In fact, you can decide to use the discussion services as a forum, reading and posting through the web based interface. You can also follow the discussions subscribing to the RSS feeds. * Users feed: https://core.forge.funambol.org/servlets/WebFeed?artifact=messages&dsForumId=405 * Developers feed: https://core.forge.funambol.org/servlets/WebFeed?artifact=messages&dsForumId=402 If you prefer mailing list, then you have the option to use the discussion services as a classic mailing list. You need to register on the Forge first and then go to * Users: https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/editSubscription.do?dsForumId=405 * Developers: https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/editSubscription.do?dsForumId=402 Check the Subscribed checkbox and choose the delivery options (mail-by- mail, digest or no delivery). You will then be able to participate to the discussions in any way you prefer: email, forum or read-only via rss. That's it. I hope you like the new discussion services like we do. If you have further questions don't hesitate to ask. Have fun with Funambol Stef -- Stefano Maffulli Funambol Community manager Funambol :: Mobile 2.0 Messaging :: http://www.funambol.com |

Hi there, First time i use this. I have just started to use Ubuntu/Linux with Syncevolution/Funambol because i was looking for a way to sync my windows mobile phone with Evolution. Installed syncevolution which worked fine except for the problem that items from my evolution calendar appeared two hours later in the my funambol calendar. Probably this has to do with a setting in funambol? now i get the following error which makes it impossible to use syncevolution: 21:38:53 GMT +0200 [ERROR] - calendar: could not encode item as iCal: 20080524T170217Z-6058-1000-1-1@daanlaptop: failure Synchronization failed, see /tmp/SyncEvolution-daan-funambol/client.log for details. Changes applied during synchronization: +-------------------|-------ON CLIENT-------|-------ON SERVER-------| | | successful / total | successful / total | | Source | NEW | MOD | DEL | NEW | MOD | DEL | +-------------------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------+ +-------------------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------+-------+ Apparently there is something wrong in the list of evolution. I tried " sync = refresh-from-server" but that gives the same error. is there something i can do to get it working again? thanks in advance! daan PS i request to reply direct to me because i did not register (yet). |

Given that the list is closing, it might be a nice idea to update the website. http://www.funambol.com/opensource/communitysupport.php refers to the old lists. Hi Paul, just answering the last part of your question about email sync support for BB. The BB plugin provides only PIM data sync (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes). You can find the email support installing the BB version of the JavaME Push Email Client available in the following zip file funambol-mail-client-6.5.10.zip: http://forge.objectweb.org/project/download.php?group_id=96&file_id=10536 The BB version of the JavaME Push Email Client has been added recently in the zip file. Hello guys, perhaps someone can give me a hand here. After several attempts I am getting nowhere. One server running Small Business Sever 2003 which is supposed to be Exchange 2003 with Funambol 6.5.14 installed, 6.5.0 Exchange connector, and using the BB 6.6.0 plug-in on a Verizon 8330 curve. After configuring the server I am not able to synch from the BB unit. Attached is the log and for what I see, it points to a webdav issue with PROPFIND not being supported. Am I on the right track, and if so is there a workaround? I have seen others post about SBS 2003 and Exchange 2003 in a positive way so I would imagine is possible. Also, if the BB plug-in only gives you the synchronization for calendar, contacts, etc, but not email, how is email supposed to work then? On the device it shows Authentication failed for scard, snote, etc. Best regards, Paul ds-server.log [2008-05-22 01:22:56,853] [funambol.transport.http] [INFO] [E355617A5EBF2C535EDCCF99B28E485D] [] [] [] Handling incoming request [2008-05-22 01:22:56,853] [funambol.transport.http] [INFO] [E355617A5EBF2C535EDCCF99B28E485D] [] [] [] Request URL: http://www.myserver.com:8080/funambol/ds [2008-05-22 01:22:56,853] [funambol.transport.http] [INFO] [E355617A5EBF2C535EDCCF99B28E485D] [] [] [] Requested sessionId: null [2008-05-22 01:22:56,931] [funambol.exchange] [INFO] [E355617A5EBF2C535EDCCF99B28E485D] [fbb-832388271] [] [] ExchangeOfficer authenticate() Start [2008-05-22 01:22:56,947] [funambol.exchange] [INFO] [E355617A5EBF2C535EDCCF99B28E485D] [fbb-832388271] [] [] Username: my...@my... Hey Guys, I was wondering if there was any tutorial or other information about creating an officer for authentication. I'd like the server to automatically provision devices but not users. Additionally, I'd like the server to authenticate users against some other tables as well. I've seen the module and tutorial connectors, but was wondering if there was something that was a little more officer focused/centric? Thanks! Evan Ruff |

Hello everyone, as a follow up to my previous email about the Funambol Developer's Guide, I would like to ask you to review the Funambol Connector Development Tutorial as well (in attachment). It will probably become part of the Funambol Developers Guide. Thanks! -- Giulia Zanchi Funambol Tech Writer funambol :: mobile open source :: http://www.funambol.com |

Hello everyone, I would be very grateful if you could take some time to read and review the Funambol Developer's Guide (in attachment) and suggest changes and/or improvements. This guide is still WIP, so feedback from Funambol developers is much appreciated! Thank you -- Giulia Zanchi Funambol Tech Writer funambol :: mobile open source :: http://www.funambol.com |

Hi Paul, as far as i understood you have a funambol server, and you are trying to configure it to sync with exchange server, if so, when you do that, you do it for any device , not specifically for blackberry. Anyway you will be able to get the latest version of the connector here: http://forge.objectweb.org/project/download.php?group_id=96&file_id=10532 after this you can use the funambol admin aplication to setup the exchange connector to work with your server (you will basically need to setup the ip address) i hope i helped, paulo f. For the SugarcrmConnector, you don't need to uninstall the old one.
Just remove its specification from the install.properties file and the
s4j file from the modules directory and replace with the latest
version, and run the install. You should reply 'N' to all the questions
about installing the databases.<br>
<br>
After installing you will need to edit the SugarcrmOfficer.xml file
again to put the Sugar URL back in, or keep a copy of your old version
and replace the new one with that. This might not be safe if the
SugarcrmOfficer code changes but it hasn't for a long while, and I've
no plans to change it.<br>
<br>
Finally you should go into the admin screen and check all the settings
are correct for all your Sugarcrm syncsources. If you're installing
6.0.8 or 6.0.9, check that your Sugar version is correctly specified on
the config screen of each source, and SAVE each one. This will ensure
that the syncsource xml is correctly initialised.<br>
<br>
Cheers<br>

Hi all,<br>
I'd like to uninstall the SugarcrmConnector and install the newest one.
The last time I tried this I would up with a broken ds_server, so I
thought I ask here first. <br>
<br>
I'm on Windows, and the command I used to install was<br>
d:\programs\Funambol\ds-server\> set PATH=%PATH%;bin<br>
d:\programs\Funambol\ds-server\> install-modules.cmd tomcat55<br>
<br>
Is it just the same command?<br>
<br>
PS: You can see that the funambol_ds_server_administration_guide.pdf is
a bit lacking in this department:<br>
<br>
Uninstalling a Module<br>
To uninstall a module, perform the following:<br>
1. Open the <DS_SERVER_HOME>\install.properties file. <br>
2. Find the modules-to-install= property and delete the module from the
comma-<br>
separated list.<br>
3. Save and close install.properties.<br>
<u>4. Reinstall the application server and rebuild the database.</u>
(huh?!)<br>
NOTE: The modules-to-uninstall= property in the install.properties file
currently is ignored, <br>
but may be implemented in future releases.<br>
<br>
Thanks in advance!<br>
