Hello

The Funambol discussions have moved to the new Funambol Forge (https://www.forge.funambol.org 
). These are the new addresses for the Funambol lists:

You can follow the discussions without the need to log in as you would  
with any web forum. In fact, you can decide to use the discussion  
services as a forum, reading and posting through the web based  
interface.

You can also follow the discussions subscribing to the RSS feeds.

If you prefer mailing list, then you have the option to use the  
discussion services as a classic mailing list. You need to register on  
the Forge first and then go to

* Developers:
    https://core.forge.funambol.org/ds/editSubscription.do?dsForumId=402

Check the Subscribed checkbox and choose the delivery options (mail-by- 
mail, digest or no delivery). You will then be able to participate to  
the discussions in any way you prefer: email, forum or read-only via  
rss.

I have updated that page and we are also updating the rest of the / 
opensource/ section of the .com site.  I understand that moving and  
subscribing again is frustrating, but the new site has lots of better  
features that will pay off for your and everybody's patience :)

[funambol-users] Error in Syncevolution

Hi there,

First time i use this.

I have just started to use Ubuntu/Linux with Syncevolution/Funambol
because i was looking for a way to sync my windows mobile phone with
Evolution.

Installed syncevolution which worked fine except for the problem that
items from my evolution calendar appeared two hours later in the my
funambol calendar. Probably this has to do with a setting in funambol?

now i get the following error which makes it impossible to use
syncevolution:

just answering the last part of your question about email sync support 
for BB.
The BB plugin provides only PIM data sync (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and 
Notes).
You can find the email support installing  the BB version of the JavaME 
Push Email Client available in the following zip file 
funambol-mail-client-6.5.10.zip:

The BB version of the JavaME Push Email Client has been added recently 
in the zip file.

[funambol-users] SBS 2003 issues

Hello guys, perhaps someone can give me a hand here. After several
attempts I am getting nowhere.  One server running Small Business Sever
2003 which is supposed to be Exchange 2003 with Funambol 6.5.14
installed, 6.5.0 Exchange connector, and using the BB 6.6.0 plug-in on a
Verizon 8330 curve. After configuring the server I am not able to synch
from the BB unit. Attached is the log and for what I see, it points to a
webdav issue with PROPFIND not being supported. Am I on the right track,
and if so is there a workaround? I have seen others post about SBS 2003
and Exchange 2003 in a positive way so I would imagine is possible.
Also, if the BB plug-in only gives you the synchronization for calendar,
contacts, etc, but not email, how is email supposed to work then?

 

On the device it shows Authentication failed for scard, snote, etc.

Hi Paul,
as far as i understood you have a funambol server, and you are trying to
configure it to sync with exchange server, if so, when you  do that, you do
it for any device , not specifically for blackberry.
Anyway you will be able to get the latest version of the connector here:
http://forge.objectweb.org/project/download.php?group_id=96&file_id=10532

after this you can use the funambol admin aplication to setup the exchange
connector to work with your server (you will basically need to setup the ip
address)

Dear Funambol users & developers,

you may have hoped, wished and suggested us to improve your experience  
within Funambol community.  We heard you and today we proudly announce  
that the new Funambol Forge is ready to be used.  We have setup a new  
platform to hold discussions, elaborate documentation and share  
knowledge, host code. In one verb: to collaborate.

).  Some of you asked for forums other asked for mailing list: we have

Has anyone implemented exchange 2003 with blackberry's?

is anyone can share the exchangeofficer.xml file will be great.

When using the blackberry I get authorization errors, but the user exist and can login via the website and there is a device and principal for it. Any tricks will be greatly appreciated.

For the SugarcrmConnector, you don't need to uninstall the old one.
Just remove its specification from the install.properties file and the
s4j file from the modules directory and replace with the latest
version, and run the install. You should reply 'N' to all the questions
about installing the databases.<br>

After installing you will need to edit the SugarcrmOfficer.xml file
again to put the Sugar URL back in, or keep a copy of your old version
and replace the new one with that. This might not be safe if the
SugarcrmOfficer code changes but it hasn't for a long while, and I've
no plans to change it.<br>

Finally you should go into the admin screen and check all the settings
are correct for all your Sugarcrm syncsources. If you're installing
6.0.8 or 6.0.9, check that your Sugar version is correctly specified on
the config screen of each source, and SAVE each one. This will ensure
that the syncsource xml is correctly initialised.<br>

[funambol-users] Custom Officer Tutorial?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there was any tutorial or other information about creating an officer for authentication. I'd like the server to automatically provision devices but not users. Additionally, I'd like the server to authenticate users against some other tables as well. I've seen the module and tutorial connectors, but was wondering if there was something that was a little more officer focused/centric?
