There was some attempt to provide versioning, see SWIG_RUNTIME_VERSION in the generated wrappers but I wouldn't call it reliable. If this is the same number in your two modules and you cross your fingers it may work. I can't think of any workarounds other, the obvious of rebuilding with a common version of SWIG.

thanks for your answer. Okay then, I'll have to grab an older SWIG version to build my additional modules then.
