Here is what I would love to see:
The ability to import a differant background image into each level, and reuse (if desired) the same scaling factor as the original level.
What happens now is this; I import an image and usually use any door opening as my refrence for scaling the size since most doors are three feet wide.
If I have multiple levels I can always change the background image to reflect the new level but when I scale the new image I never get the scaling line exactly the same as the first level and my walls do not line up properly.
Obviously the line/distance relationship is a known value; I could use this value on the next image if I knew it and had a way to insert it.
I am obviously not using the right terminology but hopfully it's apparent what I'm after.
Thanks
My gripe is the back ground images do not extend to the horizon - in 3d mode...
I import a golf course airial image and import it as a ground texture in my modify 3d view tab. I extend the size to 10,000'X10,000'. This places my house in a manicured lawn with a lake in the back yard - in all of my 3d view perspectives... Placing a cloudy sky texture in the modify 3d view tab completes the illusion, and I have a realistic background for my house to be set in...
But what I would like to do as well - is add a verticle background panaramic of the skyline - so when I look out my windows I can see the snow capped mountains of Alaska rising in the distance....
Unfortunately - there is no way to add the panoramic view of the mountains in the distance to the view... I live in Alaska, but my house is in fricken Kansas - Flatland USA... Can someone give me back my majestic mountains? Can someone please help me move my house back to Alaska?
