Hi all,
I've tried to search this issue but I couldn't find a direct answer.
I'm using Sweet Home 3D to create a possible production studio with a green screen, camera, and studio lights. Something to present to clients as we are in the process of building our studio. I've downloaded many models from Trimble 3D. Then I downloaded SketchUp which allows me to export these 3D models into .3ds, .dae, and .obj file formats. I'm not a designer so I'm not familiar with these formats. I've exported several 3D models into all formats. I've clicked on settings, prior to exporting, and have checked most the boxes that made sense.
After the export completes, I go to Sweet Home 3D, import furniture, and select one of the file formats: .3ds, .dae. or .obj. The model shows up, I can change the angles and spin it around. Once I click Continue, 4 boxes show up and it says above it to adjust any of the images. The 4 boxes are all different perspectives of that particular model. Here's the problem...the program freezes. Home Sweet locks up on me. I can't click continue or go back or exit. I have to Force Quit. Only ONE TIME did the model show up on all 4 perspective boxes, but it froze on me after I clicked Continue!!
I'm not sure why this is happening. I would love to find a work around for this issue. I'm nto sure if my export settings are correct from SketchUP. I'm not sure if because I'm dling/exporting these 3D models from my Windows 7 laptop, dumping them on a flash drive, and then dragging them onto my desktop into my Mac station (which isn't connected online).
So if ANYONE has any ideas how the hell I can fix this problem, I would truly appreciate it. Any advice would be seriously helpful. If someone has presented this problem here already, I apologize for bringing it up again.

DAE format is the preferred file format to import 3D models exported from Sketchup, but this sounds more like an issue in the driver of your graphics card.
Please try to update it.
