I am unable to save my Sweet Home 3D design. I tried copying everything and pasting in a new file but I still get the same message. If I look at the folder in Finder it does appear but at only 209K. If I open that file I get red boxes as others have described. I've worked for months on this file and only recently have I had trouble saving. Please help. Thank you.

I posted a fixed file but as you will see it doesn't contain any furniture.
If you transferred or copied your file (by email, with a USB key...), it might have been damaged during this operation and you should try to get the original again.
You may also have lost data because your system or Sweet Home 3D crashed during a saving operation. In all cases, create some backups of your files (or use Time Machine), as you should do for any file on which you spend hours.

Finally have a look in the subfolders of Library/Application Support/eTeks/Sweet Home 3D/work in your home folder, They might contain files prefixed by "open" and suffixed by "sweethome3d" that could be old versions that still work.
Simply copy these files, change their extension to "sh3d" and try to open them with Sweet Home 3D.

Thanks for trying to save my file. I did not transfer the file by USB or other means. I regularly back up with Time Machine, but this file has not allowed me to save for days and I've continued to work on it in the hopes I could save it. I see in the Library that the "open" versions are only 209K. That tells me that they are also corrupt. <sigh> At a certain point it's faster to start all over again then to spend days trying to fix it. I downloaded version 3.3 but I'm now reading of a lot of similar problems on this board. Has this bug been fixed in 3.3? Thanks again for trying to save my file </sigh>

As explained in the FAQ at http://www.sweethome3d.com/faq.jsp#otherFeatures I alter the saved file as late as possible during the saving process, to be sure no corrupted data will be saved. This was the way I fixed the problem a time ago, but I can't prevent system crash, electricity blackouts when the saved file is written. I could add an auto backup creation, but this is not the way most software works, and the tip I gave you in the "work" subfolder does it already during a week after a crash (older "work" folders are automatically deleted as well as the folders created during a normal execution of Sweet Home 3D).
Sorry to say that, but you should have worried about your saving issue from the fist day it happened. Now I would continue to search in the past of my time machine backup (show files under a list presentation to be able to view the size of the past files).
