Hi I've attached a patch that creates a file called config in the ~/.supertux directory. It holds things like fullscreen, show_fps, etc.. and uses the new lispreader code. It will create the file if you don't have one, and update it as you change options. Let me know if there's anything you want me to change about it. --Mike |

Finished the logo. grumbel (Ingo) and I were discussing it last night, and he thought it would be usable if it were a bit more cleaned up. So I cleaned it up. I also added some nifty shading which I think reflects the "natural" style the artwork of SuperTux is moving toward. There is no "color" in this... I couldn't think of good colors to give it. But I'm releasing the XCF files, so it'll be easy for you to do that anyway. download it here: http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/logo2.png http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/logo2.xcf Both are released under the GPL. That means if you make changes to it, you have to release your "source" graphic file as well (preferably in XCF format). This hasn't been officially approved yet by Grumbel, but it looked like he was leaning toward it. I'll leave that decision up to him. Hi, We've discussed moving to std::string. For new patches and code, would you prefer that I use std::string or keep with the current style? --Mike |

SuperTux is "SuperTux", not "Super Tux", right? We should ask sourceforge to change the project name from super-tux to=20 supertux. And also the happypenguin should be 'SuperTux', not 'Super Tux', since it= =20 creates confusion when searching. (also we need another screenshot and info= =20 over there) Ricardo Cruz Em Segunda, 22 de Mar=E7o de 2004 14:16, o Ingo Ruhnke escreveu: > SuperTux needs a logo, just the letters "SuperTux" in a nice font > could already be enough. After much much much much much much work, I've finally gotten down a full-bodied animation of the wingling! http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/wingling_anim2.gif I haven't finished coloring this yet. If you want to see the colored version, which is only the wings animated, go to http://www.lingocomic.com/gfx/goodies/supertux/wingling_anim.gif Wow, am I ever proud of my progress... Expect a full colored version soon, along with a sprite-ready copy! Christopher Allan Webber | The bottom line |

I just had this idea when I looked at your great background. It would give a damn great effect that those foregrounds start moving at=20 different speeds... It would be awesome! Please *NO* gimp logo script, they just look all so damn boring and most of them are already used on a gazillions of webpages out there, thus they would give the logo this kind of 'recycled' look, that I really don't like. The logo should more like normal handwriting or at least in that direction.
