Hello, Great game. Very playable. Thanks to all! m. ps. Abednego has some sadistical inclinations, hasn't he? ;) |

Herzlichen Dank,=20 A-M Ebel, Renate Kampe |

Hi, Me, my brother and my sisters have our own accounts on Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2 with plain Windows user rights. But SuperTux is not saving the savegames in %appdata%. I would not like to give write permissions to the game folder. Could your change that, please? Dominik S., Germany ___________________________________________________________ Gesendet von Yahoo! I like your game Super Tux very much. It 's a wonderful game ! Sorry, but I don't speak English very well. I have finished the 26 levels. I have created two levels and I don't know how to send it to you. I have some ideas : - you could do some levels which go from down to up. -you could add in " Tile Group" some platforms hanging in the air that move up and down or right to left . -you could make levels in the water PS : After I clicked on the button with the screwdriver and wrench I have a problem with the setting of the "length" . To write the numbers I want I need to click "control" at the same time as I click on the button number . But it doesn't work for the number "0" , "2" , "6" , "7" , "9" . |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi there! I made a little patch for SuperTux 0.1.3. It changes the shown ascii-code into the character in the control-setting-menu. I'm just pasting the changed code below (and the whole file as an attachment), so you can decide whether to update your code or not. I think this patch is a little help for people, who are not familiar with acsii-codes, so they won't stuck when they see the character they pressed instead of die ascii-code. Please answer me directly, because I didn't subscribe the mailing list (one reason is the spam-thing). Thanks! Great game, keep on coding, Chris Blaettermann - --- BEGIN OF THE PATCH --- menu.cpp - beginning at line 204 void MenuItem::change_input(const char *text_) { if(text) { free(input); input = (char*) malloc(sizeof(char )*(strlen(text_)+1)); /* implements displaying the characters a to z instead of the ascii-code */ if((char)text_[1]=='9' || (char)text_[1]=='1') { char *tmp; tmp = (char*) malloc(sizeof(char)*2); tmp[0] = text_[0]; tmp[1] = '\0'; strcpy(input, tmp); } else { strcpy(input, text_); } } } ############## menu.cpp - beginning at line 243 void Menu::get_controlfield_key_into_input(MenuItem *item) { switch(*item->int_p) { case SDLK_UP: item->change_input("Up cursor"); break; case SDLK_DOWN: item->change_input("Down cursor"); break; case SDLK_LEFT: item->change_input("Left cursor"); break; case SDLK_RIGHT: item->change_input("Right cursor"); break; case SDLK_RETURN: item->change_input("Return"); break; case SDLK_SPACE: item->change_input("Space"); break; case SDLK_RSHIFT: item->change_input("Right Shift"); break; case SDLK_LSHIFT: item->change_input("Left Shift"); break; case SDLK_RCTRL: item->change_input("Right Control"); break; case SDLK_LCTRL: item->change_input("Left Control"); break; case SDLK_RALT: item->change_input("Right Alt"); break; case SDLK_LALT: item->change_input("Left Alt"); break; default: { char tmp[64]; snprintf(tmp, 64, "%d", *item->int_p); int i_char = (int)*item->int_p; /* limits displaying all characters from a to z */ if(i_char >= 97 && i_char <= 122) { char c = (char)*item->int_p; item->change_input(&c); } else { item->change_input(tmp); } } break; } } - --- END OF THE PATCH --- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDEhal8pxaZkht6wcRAkOlAKDGq8YCBc0my9Tu34PPgMYM+WSMggCgmnxL s617XSyRclxKC8JfatxfV5w= =VKU5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Hi, I played the first level and I only wanted to say, that it is impossible to jump over the "Wall" (this area, where is written "run"), when you are a big/huge(?) Pinguin and got this flower (to shoot red balls) , because the shoot button is the same like the run button, so if you shoot you can´t run. I hope you understood me, sorry for that school-english... Greetings, Sebastian |

I checked planner-mode a few days ago and was reminded that I was to be working on SuperTux's story.. especially with the ghost story. I've done some thinking on that, and made some minimal progress, I suppose. Also made some drawings to try and pull things together. Before I can make much headway into this, I need to know if everyone else is okay with this. I made the big boss ghost, which you can see here: http://dustycloud.org/gfx/goodies/supertux/ghostwip.png Note that there's a little ghost following him. I've been thinking about him controlling some smaller ghosts. Anyway, I was thinking that maybe the ghost should not be controlled by Nolok. He's just a guy trying to control the forest. Since he can't come out during the day, he's trying to make it night all the time... and in the places where he's been successful, the forest has started to turn evil under his power. Is this okay with everyone? Any suggestions? Chris |

The best way to get into development is to check out the current SVN repository, look at the TODO in the Wiki, start working on something we need, and send us your stuff. You should also look into the IRC channel to get the latest info. Marek |

This has all been fixed/changed in our development version (Enter, Return and Space select items in menus by default) and will be included in milestone 2. (Unfortunately I can't really say when it'll be ready... we need at least several months more) Greetings, Matze Am Donnerstag, den 02.06.2005, 10:27 +0200 schrieb Leif: > Hi, > > I like your game, Supertux, a lot. Hi, I like your game, Supertux, a lot. However since I brought a typmatrix 2030 keyboard (www.typematrix.com) I discovered that the Enter key (usually on the keypad) doesn't work, so I have to use the Return key. Also perhaps the space key could be used as an additional key to select items in the menus. I'm waiting with exiting on you're next release (2.0?). Greetings=20 Leif Linse (I am not subscribed to the list) |
